Since 1941 participated in group exhibitions and all decades.<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 A separate hall is allotted to Eduard Isabekyan\u2019s permanent exhibition in The National Gallery of Armenia (a total number of his works retained there is 121). His paintings are stored in many prestigious museums and private collections.\u00a0 <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Eduard Isabekyan was elected as an honorary chairman of \u201cIgdir\u201d patriotic union for the term of his life.<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 During his lifetime the Municipality of Yerevan made a decision to establish a permanent exhibition hall (gallery) for Isabekyan\u2019s art.<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>1952- Joins the communist party<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>2005- Eduard Isabekian is living and working in the Armenian village, Ashtarak<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>2007- August 17 Eduard Isabekyan died. Buried in Komitas pantheon<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>2013- May 3 Isabekyan\u00a0 Art Gallery opened \/Mashtots 7a\/<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>1927-1931 Attended \u201cGeghard\u201d college where he received his first professional e<\/strong><strong>ducation taught by practicing artists Sedrak Arakelyan, Vahram\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Gayfedjian (painting), Gohar Fermanyan (graphic).<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>1935-41 Studies in the Art Academy of Tbilisi, Georgia<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>The creative activity <\/em><br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Isabekyan is a multi-genre artist. He created extensive and high value compositional paintings, portraits, landscapes, graphics, thematic compositions, book designs.<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The basis of his art is humanism and deep patriotism, the sources of his inspiration are Armenian insights, which are expressed in the characters of Sasuntsi Davit, Tsovinar, Sanasar, Baghdasar, David Beck, Sayat Nova, Aksel Bakunts, Tamantsiner and other characters of great national figures. During the Great Patriotic War he depicted the heroic image of Soviet people (\u201cBattle for a city\u201d, 1942, \u201cTanya\u201d, 1946), national liberation struggle of the Armenian people (\u201cDavid Beck\u201d, 1945).<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Eduard Isabekyan was the founder of thematic compositional genre in Armenia. The basis of his art is the history of Armenian nation and its future, its proud posture and the ecstatic potential. Isabekyan\u2019s works of thematic compositional genre are the achievement of Armenian fine art of the Soviet period. \u201cYoung David\u201d (1956, The National Gallery of Armenia), \u201cThe Revolt of Haghpat Peasants in 1903\u201d (1957), \u201cReply to Hazkert\u201d (1960, The National Gallery of Armenia) and other paintings distinguish by their monumental expressiveness, dynamic composition and civic resonance.<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0A number of Isabekyan\u2019s paintings are characterized by organic intercourse of a man and the native nature: \u201cOld Man from Byurakan and the Artavazik Church\u201d (1956), \u201cAksel Bakunts\u201d (1956), \u201cDerenik Demirtchyan\u201d (1960), \u201cCurly Boy\u201d (1964), \u201cSayat Nova\u201d (1964). One of the best examples of Armenian portraiture of Soviet period is the \u201cMother\u2019s portrait\u201d painting (1944).<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> The thematic center of his landscapes is the epic description of Armenian nature, ancient fortresses and temples: \u201cIn the Canyon of Tatev\u201d (1959), \u201cThe Oxen Crossing the River by the Bridge\u201d (1959), \u201cKhndzoresk\u201d (1962).<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Many paintings are distinguished by artistic saturation: \u201cHorovel\u201d (1956, The National Gallery of Armenia), \u201cNear the well\u201d (\u201cThey didn\u2019t come back\u201d, 1965), \u201cIn the shade of the trees\u201d (1966), \u201cArtavazd\u2019s death\u201d (1966). The illustrations of Derenik Demirchyan\u2019s \u201cVardananq\u201d and Sero Khanzadyan\u2019s \u201cMkhitar Sparapet\u201d novels are also commonly known.
